Sundays have always been my favorite days to be productive and accomplish as many things as I can. After an iced soy latte and pastry from the Wydown, I was ready to go!
After running several errands (and maybe a short shopping break) I ended up hanging out with my good friend and incredible photographer Jon, who took all the photos that are featured in this post! For those of you who follow me on Instagram (@austinrutland) get ready for some cool shots coming soon. Please go check out Jon’s website here! He specializes in proposal/wedding photography, but obviously he is skilled in portraits as well.
The outfit I chose for the shoot was exclusively from Zara, except for the shoes, which are Steve Madden. I am so so obsessed with this leather jacket (which I got on an amazing discount by the way). I don’t usually get jeans from Zara, but I loved the wash of this black pair and considering I fell and ripped my favorite pair of black jeans, I needed to replace them. Yes, I am the most embarrassing person on the planet.
I know a lot of you probably think I’m insane for wearing a black leather jacket in the middle of summer, but in my defense it was very cloudy! If you read my What I Wear post, you’ll know I like to pretend that summer doesn’t exist 🙂
All of the shots we got were taken in or around the National Gallery of Art (East Building) here in DC! The East Building is so cool and modern, and I would definitely recommend you check it out if you’re ever in DC!
After we got all the shots we wanted, we headed over to Compass Coffee, where I got yet another iced soy latte. I have an addiction, I know.
The rest of my day was filled with photo editing and other errands, and it is safe to say I am exhausted on this Monday morning.
Comment and let me know what your favorite Sunday activities are! Have a wonderful week!
